Mens Health Check
Regular health screening helps men take control of
their own lives and live longer. The Men's Health Check service at
the Oaks Hospital provides a comprehensive and affordable health
screen by focusing specifically on the detection of the principle
life-threatening conditions and the commonest causes of premature
death in men.
The key elements of the Mens' Health Check service are
a health questionnaire, key tests which aim to detect the main
causes of male health problems, and an examination and consultation
with a Specialist Consultant. In all, the check should take no more
than an hour of your valuable time.
Your results will be interpreted by your Consultant and any
further tests or treatment will be arranged quickly and
conveniently though our large network of associated specialists and
on-site facilities.
Men's Health Check tests include:
- Medical history and lifestyle questionnaire
- Height and weight
- Blood pressure
- Urine analysis to spot diabetes, kidney and bladder
problems
- Blood tests including a full blood count, cholesterol, liver
and kidney functions, blood sugar and prostate cancer (PSA)
tests
- Electrocardiogram (ECG) to detect heart disease
We concentrate on the tests which matter. Your tests results
will be discussed with you and a full report sent to you and your
GP if you wish.
How do I arrange my Men's Health Check?
