Oaks Hospital's Radiology Department provides a diverse
range of imaging services and is staffed by experienced
professionals who are committed to treating our patients with
the utmost care and dignity, in line with the standards of the Oaks
Hospital.
Our state of the art equipment is operated by fully qualified
and skilled radiographers, many of whom have had advanced training
in speciality areas. We also have a mobile MRI scanner which visits
weekly, and a mobile CT scanner which visits every other week.
The results of procedures carried out are interpreted
exclusively by a Consultant Radiologist and reports are sent to
your referring clinician.
In addition to this, as all our other outpatient services are
centrally located, it is possible to see your consultant, have a
procedure carried out or laboratory test performed and all within
close proximity for your convenience.
We operate a Why Wait scheme in which appointments for X-rays
can be offered as early as the next day after referral.
For other procedures, depending on the preparation and speciality,
an appointment will be offered within the next five days. GP’s
can refer private and self-pay patients directly.
