X-ray Imaging
X-ray involves exposing a part of the body to a small dose of
radiation to produce an image of the internal organs. When x-rays
penetrate the body, they are absorbed in varying amounts by
different parts of the anatomy.
Chest and general x-ray procedures
Oaks Hospital's Radiology Department offers a walk in
service for chest and general x-rays, Monday to Friday 9am -
4pm.
X-ray procedures will only be carried out on receipt of a
completed and signed doctors/GP referral.
For further information please contact the Radiology
Department on 01206 753 227.
