Nurse Angie Bruns at Oaks Hospital has raised £2.400 for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity by completing a sit-up challenge.


During the pandemic, we are acutely aware of the challenges we all face with ensuring staff are kept up-to date with all patient safety essential training and we must do things very differently. Our main priority is to ensure the safety of all of the candidates and faculty, while maintaining a high quality educational standard.


Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of blindness worldwide and can cause irreversible damage to the field of vision (i.e. loss of driving licence) or actual visual acuity (i.e. affecting reading) if not treated early


I’d like to pass on my thanks to Zelda. She has looked after me on several of my visits and has always been extraordinarily cheerful and helpful - nothing is too much bother, and she has always taken a genuine interest in my recovery.


This week is mental health awareness week in the UK and our hospital, along with all Ramsay sites has received additional resources for our staff to access. These include relaxation masks, soothing hand creams and an aromatherapy room diffuser.
