Oaks Hospital have a very exciting charity event that we have coming up in aid of St Helena Hospice. Oaks staff will take on a midnight walk on Saturday 11th May in order to raise money and awareness for St Helena Hospice; a charity that helps local people face incurable illness and bereavement, supporting them and their families, friends and carers and helping terminally ill people end their lives with comfort and dignity. The charity relies heavily on volunteers and the generosity of fundraisers, such as Jess Pearce in theatre bookings who has helped raise over £300 for St Helena Hospice in the last couple of months, with the help of everyone at Oaks.

The midnight walk is a 4.5 mile or 9 mile walk around Colchester but Oaks will be taking on the 9 miler!  The theme is Hawaiian, so we will don our hula skirts and loin-cloths and put pineapple on pizza for one night only!
